Can you identify the organs that are in the following cavities?

The thoracic cavity primarily contains the heart, lungs, trachea, esophagus, thymus, and a number of blood vessels, arteries, and veins. This cavity is enclosed by the ribs, the vertebral column, and the sternum.

The cranial cavity contains the brain, which occupies most space in the upper part of the skull. It is lined by meninges that contain cerebrospinal fluid to cushion blows. This is also related to the spinal cavity, where the vertebral column is located.

The abdominal cavity contains organs such as the stomach, small and large intestine, liver, spleen, gallbladder, and pancreas. This cavity is located between the thoracic and pelvic cavities.

The pelvic cavity, bounded by the pelvis, is found below the abdominal cavity. It contains the urinary bladder, rectum, and pelvic genitals.

The mediastinum also contains the heart, thymus, portions of the esophagus, and trachea since it is a division of the thoracic cavity.
