Orbicularis Oculi - Closes the eyes, Allows eyes to blink, Controls tear pump mechanism

Frontalis - Allows the eyebrows to raise and foreheads to wrinkle

Orbicularis oris - Allows mouth to close and lips to pucker or pout

Buccinator - Cheek compression and it is also the assistant muscle used in chewing food

Platysma - Tenses the skin of the neck and draws the corner of the lips downward

MECHANISM OF MUSCLE WEAKNESS
Bell's Palsy is a condition in which the muscles on one side of the face temporarily weakens and becomes paralyzed. It is a dysfunction of the cranial nerve VII or facial nerve as it appears to be inflamed and malfunctioning. Effects of this is what causes the facial muscles to stop working, become paralyzed, and cause a downward facial expression on one side of the face.
