One of the concepts that I learned today is about the thermoregulation of the human body. Here, I discovered that in a high environmental temperature, the skin produces sweat, and blood vessels in the dermis become wider in order to lower a person’s body temperature. Whereas in a low environmental temperature, the production of sweat is reduced and the blood vessels in the dermis become narrow in order to conserve the heat needed by the body.
