Choose one concept in our lesson today, give a brief explanation about the concept and cite how this learning can be applied in your daily life.
One concept that I would like to touch on is the role that the blood vessels play for our body as they respond to the rising or lowering of body and external temperatures. When body temperature rises the body will counteract that by dilating the blood vessels allowing more blood to flow and for heat to dissipate through the skin, and vice versa when body temperatures lower. It also allows the body to adapt to outside temperatures, like when the external temperature is cold, the body contracts the blood vessels for the heat to be retained, and vice versa when the external temperature is hot accompanied by sweating.
In a literal sense, applying this in real life means adapting to the ever-changing environment around us. Whether it be the cold and hot temperatures, the people around us, or the expectations that are expected of us. Adapting to our surroundings just like our body, allows us to move forward in life and not get left behind, or get damaged by external factors that we cannot control. As said before, our body adapting to the temperature is its way of protecting our organs from damage because of it, so we as people, we as students, must adapt to our physical , social, and psychological environment in order to safe keep our lives and our future, from damage that external factors can cause.
