There would be a difference in the smooth ER and peroxisomes between the non-alcoholic and the alcoholic. As a person consumes more alcohol, the cells will have to exert more effort to produce more smooth ER just to be able to metabolize the alcohol. Thus, there would be more ER and peroxisomes in an alcoholic's body since there is much more need to produce more enzymes to break down the toxins carried by alcohol to the body.
