Activity 6
(Planes and Sections)
What is the importance of studying organs or the body at different planes and sections?
The placements of the patient's internal organs can be recognized and located using anatomical planes and sections. Individual organs can also be divided into planes to distinguish between tiny structures within that organ. Therefore, remembering these planes and sections makes it easier for us to interact with others (especially those within the healthcare/medical field), comprehend the level of the body we are operating at clearly and consistently, and understand how structures are positioned in relation to one another.
