Hypoglycemia, often known as low blood sugar, causes a person to experience a wide range of symptoms. As the body's way of signaling that one needs to eat in order to raise their blood sugar level, these symptoms may include hunger. Counterintuitively, low blood sugar might make you feel like you don't want to eat or drink, even when you must be hungry or thirsty. Also possible are clammy and pale skin. Hypoglycemia can also cause poor balance, unconsciousness, visual abnormalities, a rapid heartbeat, and jitteriness.
