When we are under stress adrenaline maintains cardiovascular homeostasis by sending blood to tissues under stress. For example, adrenaline causes an increase in blood flow to the coronary artery during cardiac arrest.

Another example is the regulation of body temperature through endotherms. When the body temperature becomes too high, the brain sends signals to the skin to sweat in order to release heat and cool us down.
