Which directional terms can be used to specify the relationships between:
- elbow and shoulder
- The elbow is DISTAL to the shoulder.
- The shoulder is PROXIMAL to the elbow.
- left and right shoulders
- The left and right shoulders are CONTRALATERAL.
- sternum and the humerus
- The sternum is MEDIAL to the humerus.
- The humerus is LATERAL to the sternum.
- heart and the diaphragm
- The heart lies SUPERIOR to the diaphragm.
- The diaphragm lies INFERIOR to the heart.
- knees and tibia
- The knees are PROXIMAL to the tibia.
- The tibia is DISTAL to the knees.
- liver and gallbladder
- The liver lies ANTERIOR to the gallbladders.
