Activity 3: Genes
When a gene is expressed, it produces the protein product of that particular gene. A piece of gene information is required for the synthesis of a functional gene product. A gene expression is an automated or self-regulating process in which a volume controls whether it increases or decreases protein production. These proteins instruct the function of the cells and regulate the chain by increasing the number of proteins produced.
