Activity 4

(Feedback Mechanism)

Give other examples of disturbances in the internal environment that can act as a stimulus to a feedback mechanism.

The abrupt rise or fall in oxygen, blood sugar, pH, water, or internal temperature are some examples of disruptions in the internal environment that might serve as a stimulus to a feedback mechanism. If any of these parameters shifts from being too high to being too low, the body will react in a way to return to homeostasis.
