Metabolism – process by which our body converts the food we take into energy. For example, the calories from the chicken we ate will be combined with oxygen to release energy needed by our body to function.
Responsiveness – it is our body’s ability to detect and respond due to internal or external stimulus. One example of responsiveness is when we eat or drink something cold, we feel an intense pain in our head commonly known as brain freeze.
Movement – motion of the entire body, organs, cells, and even an organelle. An example of movement is when we are doing physical activities, our body parts tend to coordinate with one another for us to make movements.
Growth – pertains to the increase in cell size and quantity in an organism. An example of growth is the size of our body on the day we are born compared to this day.
Differentiation – a developmental process of a cell by which it changes from an unspecialized state to specialized state. Example of this is the development of a single-celled zygote to multicellular embryo.
Reproduction – refers to the production of a new individual. An example of this are dogs in the streets that reproduces sexually.
