1. Anatomy as well as physiology have several subspecialties. Can you identify these subspecialties and explain what they specifically study?

SUBSPECIALTIES OF ANATOMY
> Embryology - the study of an embryo's formation, growth, and development.
> Development Biology - the study of the development that occurs in organisms from embryo development to adulthood.
> Cell Biology - the study of the cell's structure, function, and behavior.
> Surface anatomy - the study of the body's external features and anatomic structure.
> Gross anatomy - the study of the macroscopic structure of tissues and organs. It is visible to the naked eye.
> Systemic anatomy - the study of the anatomy of different organ systems.

SUBSPECIALTIES OF PHYSIOLOGY
> Neurophysiology - the study of the nervous system's functions.
> Endocrinology - the study of the structure, function, and disorder of the endocrine glands.
> Cardiovascular physiology - the study of how the cardiovascular system functions in both health and disease.
> Immunology - the study of the immune system's structure and function.
> Renal physiology - the study of the functional anatomy of the kidney.
> Pathophysiology - the study of the effects of disease on physiological processes.

2. Can you give your own example on how a structure of a body part is related to its function?
The foot has structures such as the ankle, heel, arch, and digits wherein these structures allow movement and several physical functions. It could also bear and balance the weight of the body.
