1. What are the organs that constitute each of the organ systems above?

  • Cardiovascular system - consists of the heart, blood, and blood vessels
  • Digestive system - consists of the mouth, esophagus, stomach, and intestines (small and large)
  • The endocrine system - consists of the glands that secrete hormones, e.g. pituitary gland
  • Integumentary system - consists of the nails, hair, and skin
  • The lymphatic system - AKA the immune system, consists of lymph ducts and vessels
  • Muscular system - consists of the smooth, cardiac, and skeletal muscles
  • Nervous system - consists of the spinal cord and the brain
  • Reproductive system - 
    • for men - prostate, penis, and testis
    • for women - vagina, uterus, fallopian tubes and the ovaries
  • Respiratory system - consists of the nasal passages, trachea, and the lungs
  • Skeletal system - consists of the joints, teeth, and bones
  • The urinary system - consists of the pair of kidneys, urethra, and. urinary bladder

2. Which organ systems function to regulate acid-base balance in body fluid?

Respiratory and urinary systems.  The kidneys help balance acid-base in the body by excretion of H+ ions. meanwhile, the lungs help regulate carbonic acid (H2CO3).
