Which directional terms can be used to specific the relationships between:
a) Elbow and shoulder
- The elbow is distal to the shoulder.
- The shoulder is proximal to the elbow.
b) left and right shoulders
- The left and right shoulders are contralateral.
c) Sternum and the humerus
- The sternum is medial to the humerus.
d) Heart and the Diaphragm
- The heart is superior to the diaphragm.
- The diaphragm is inferior to the heart.
e) Knees and tibia
- The knees are proximal to the tibia.
f) Liver and gallbladders
- The liver is superior to the gallbladder.
- The gallbladder is inferior to the liver.
- The liver and gallbladder are ipsilateral.
g) Spleen and liver
- The spleen and liver are contralateral.
h) Kidneys and small intestines
- The kidneys are superior to the small intestines.
- The small intestines are inferior to the kidneys.
