What can you suggest in order to decrease our maternal mortality and morbidity in the country? Give at least 3 suggestions.
- Promote Sex education
Unwanted pregnancies present an increased risk to the mom and baby. Mothers may not take the appropriate steps to ensure that the pregnancy goes well because they do not want to get checked or because they did not know they were pregnant. Sex education prevents these kinds of pregnancies.
-
Increase availability of trained healthcare professionals in health centers
Increasing the number of health professionals will help ensure that clients will have a healthcare worker available to them when they need it.
-
Promote Health education for pregnant mothers
One way to prevent maternal morbidity is to prevent high risk pregnancies in the first place. One way to address this is to go directly to the source and educate soon to be mothers on proper prenatal and preconception self care.
