I believe that everyone should have access to family planning and the RH Law is a step closer to responsible parenthood. Reproductive health is as vital as all the other aspects of health. I completely agree with Former Representative Luz Ilagan of the Gabriela Women’s Party when she said that “The RH bill is about women’s access to healthcare, the right to informed choice. This is not an issue of population control or a question of religion or faith.” There are restrictive and conservative religious beliefs that hinders the normalization of even talking about reproductive health, and as an aspiring future nurse, it is my duty to push for a comprehensive reproductive healthcare system that is scientific, in which reproductive health care should benefit from science.
