I strongly agree with the statement as good nutrition serves as a foundation for a healthy and productive life. Most importantly, the first 1000 days is the most vulnerable time for any human life because this is when their body and brain are rapidly developing. Hence, the child must receive the right nutrition at the right time.

According to WHO (2019), correct feeding is extremely crucial in the first three years of life since it helps to reduce morbidity and mortality, decrease the risk of chronic illness later in life, and promote normal mental and physical development.

On the contrary, failure to deliver the vital nutrients during this important stage of brain development (or also the most active period of neurologic development) may result in lifetime abnormalities in brain function, even if nutritional replacement is provided later on (Schwarzenberg, 2018).
