From the preconception stage, nutrition has been playing a vital role in the development, growth and safe delivery of the fetus up until time he is fully human, it continues to prove that good nutrition maintains and sustains a person's of life.

However, although nutrition is a basic right, it is still is not attainable for everyone due to a multitude of factors. We have seen the consequences of poor nutrition, as constantly reported by the media. UNICEF, the leading organization in solving hunger, has reported that at least one in three children under 5 is affected by malnutrition in its most visible forms: stunting, wasting and overweight and a nonvisible form: hidden hunger. With these current diseases plaguing the children of our generation, they are unable to fully develop and enjoy their years as much as every children provided with good nutrition. Stunting affects children's brain development; it hinders full cognitive potential, wasting affects the immune system; making them weak and vulnerable to diseases and overweight predisposes children to cardiovascular diseases (UNICEF, 2021).

Hence, it is a very urgent and important call that world leaders prioritize children's health by improving nutrition programs to make sure that every child learns, plays and develops properly according to age and physiologic needs.
