In accordance with the National Health Insurance Act of 2013 or Republic Act 10606, the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation has provided maternity and newborn care benefits that focus on the health services that pregnant women must receive throughout their pregnancy and delivery. One of the maternity benefits—the Maternity Care Package, includes financial coverage up to P6,500 (hospitals) to P8,000 (birthing homes, lying-in clinics at infirmary/dispensaries, maternity clinics) for pre-natal consultation and essential health services, normal delivery, and postpartum care.
