Good day everyone! We are Karissa Jamoralin, Francine Motos, and Euchie Robles from LEC 2 (TF 10AM - 11:30AM) class. Attached below is the google drive link to the report for our chosen article regarding cleavage.

Our oral report is about the journal article, “Polarity and cell division orientation in the cleavage embryo: from worm to humans” by A. Adjuk and M. Zernicka-Goetz (2016).

If you have any questions or clarifications regarding the study, please don’t hesitate to comment them down below. Thank you very much! Happy Holidays everyone!

Thank you for a very interesting report on the dynamics of cleavage. My questions are:
1. You mentioned something about the effect on differentiation of trophectoderm. Please elaborate on this.
2. Given the knowledge about embryos with slow cytoplasmic movement showing lower developmental potential, is there a possible intervention for this?
Thank you.

Hello Karissa, Francine, and Euchie!

I am Jamaica from Group 6. Together with my groupmates, Ayesha Razuman and Regina Santos, we commend your group for such a comprehensive presentation. Our group would like to know what kind of clinical studies can be conducted using the Single-Cell Transcriptome Analysis and if the Angiomotin protein employs a similar or different activation mechanism as the YAP protein in the Hippo pathway.

Thank you and happy holidays!

What a very informative presentation you have here!!

I am Josfred from Group 11 Lec 2. Our group (Ranoso, Riva, Villegas) would like to ask if PAR proteins have other functions aside from establishing polarity and affecting symmetry of first cell division.

Thanks for your future reply!!
