House Rules

1. The online orientation was held via zoom last 6 Sep 2021. If you have not attended it, please be guided on the groupings, activity dates, and requirements through the uploaded Orientation guide or by clicking the image on the main page. If you are unable to find your schedule, kindly reach out to one of our course professors by email.

2. Our Course runs for two weeks:

Week One (days 1-4) is comprised of six Virtual Skills Laboratory sessions with the professors (from day 1-3) and one day (4th day) practical and written laboratory exams.

  • Review and prepare your materials about week prior to your activity schedule.
  • Skills checklists can be accessed by clicking the image of the skills station. Review materials and videos are linked per topic in the VLE, or you may also use the Study Guides here.
  • Join the virtual skills laboratory session through the zoom link provided in the VLE. All AM Sessions start at 8AM and All PM sessions start at 1PM
  • Meeting ID and password can be found in the VLE. Only those officially enrolled will be allowed to join.
  • Questions and concerns during the skills demonstration will be addressed through chat box and the faculty will answer once the demonstration is complete. Unnecessary comments or messages are discouraged. Contact the assigned faculty per station if there are further concerns and questions related to the activities.

Week Two (days 5-8) involves Clinical Simulations and one case study.

  • For the clinical simulations, you will be interacting with actual clients through video or phone calls. These will have to be submitted through VLE, as well as your completed assessment forms and interventions or health teachings provided. Presentation of findings and sharing of learnings will be held in post conferences every 3-4 PM via zoom (VLE) from days 5-7 and 1-3 PM on day 8.
    • The case study will be accomplished through the VLE.

 3. To complete this course, be sure to attend all sessions completely, join meetings on time, and pass all requirements as instructed.

4. Assignments are to be submitted/uploaded in VLE prior to the set deadlines per activity.

5. Uphold the values of UPCN embodied in the acronym INCELL: Integrity, Nationalism, Compassion, Excellence, Leadership and Love for Learning.  Integrity and Excellence includes respecting intellectual property rights (e.g., not sharing or distributing copyrighted materials made available to you in this course for educational purposes only); observing honesty and ethics.  Keep in mind that any form of dishonesty (like plagiarism, cheating in exams, etc.) automatically merits a grade of 5.0 (failing grade) and may be subject to disciplinary measures (Padilla, P., 2020).
