Week 1: Pitch
CHED Memo No. 18 (series of 2016) states that medical informatics should be a required course for medical education. However, many medical schools are unable to comply given the lack of medical educators who can teach health informatics or because there is not enough space within the current curriculum to include another course. Prepare a 90-second pitch to the Dean of the UP College of Medicine on why medical informatics should be included as a required course. Be sure to answer the driving question in your pitch. Read this guide on how to craft an elevator pitch. Below is the rubric I will use to grade the pitch.
