  • Basic and Clinical Pharmacology Review for Interns 2023

    The medical board type review in Pharmacology for the year 2023 will be composed of an exam that the students can take any time prior to the review, and discussion of answers during a 4-hour session on October 7, 2023. A handout and other supplementary materials will be available through the UP Manila Virtual learning environment (UPM VLE).

    COURSE OBJECTIVES/LEARNING OUTCOMES:
    This review intends to help the participants:
    • Discuss basic principles and concepts of Pharmacodynamics and Pharmacokinetics.
    • Determine drug groups and drugs used in select and common medical conditions.
    • Discuss the mechanism of action, important pharmacokinetic parameter/s, common adverse effects, and drug interactions of commonly used drugs.
