Client's Perspective of Genetic Counseling

When we study outcomes of genetic counseling, it is always important to consider the perspective of our clients and their families. After all, the genetic counseling session and the process itself is centered around our clients. Their perspectives are important because our goals and strategies can be anchored from how they perceive the process. This research by Skirton (2001) elucidates the perspectives of client's in genetic counseling enabling us to know what outcomes are most salient for them.
