This session describes transcription meaning how RNA is made, the difference of transcription between prokaryotes and eukaryotes, and post-transcriptional modifications. Through this session you should be able to:

    • describe how RNA is synthesized from DNA
    • differentiate transcription in prokaryotes and in eukaryotes
    • discuss post-transcriptional modifications in eukaryotes
