Faculty 101 - CN

On the Course Page, 

Click Add an Activity or Resource then under activities, choose Assignment then click Add.

After initially filling out the required, scroll down to configure the settings such as 

Submission Types Either online text or File Upload

Group Submission Settings under this, you may choose to have a student submit in behalf of the group or you may also require them to send input individually to a common online text. 

I believe that the above settings are those important ones to configure.
