Blog portfolio
A student must create a blog for this course. This blog will house the weekly project submissions, serving as a portfolio of the student’s work for this semester. The student can choose any free blogging platform.
Twitter activity
The student will tweet the link to the blog post on the weekly project submission from an existing Twitter account or from a new account created solely for this course. Tweets should contain the hashtags #HI201 and #MSHI and mention @endocrine_witch. The objective is to invite comments on the project.
Academic honesty
As the course is fully remote, it is expected that the student will exercise due diligence to submit his/her own work and avoid plagiarism. As blog posts and tweets are part of the course experience, good digital citizenship is also expected.
Projects
In this course, the project refers to the learning artifacts produced when answering the driving question of the week. These projects will be on the student blogs and submitted on the VLE too.
Final pitch
With the health informatics background gained in the course, students are asked to propose solutions to a real-world problem in the Philippine healthcare system as a capstone project. Each student will submit a video of a shark tank pitch for the proposed solution.
