About the Professor
Dr Iris Thiele Isip Tan is Professor at the University of the Philippines College of Medicine. She is also Chief at the University of the Philippines Medical Informatics Unit and Director at the University of the Philippines Manila Interactive Learning Center. She is a practicing internist-endocrinologist with a master's degree in health informatics. Her research interests include mobile health, consumer health informatics and telehealth. She believes in the scholarly use of social media and is currently enrolled as a PhD student in health sciences by research, with her work focused on social media misinformation.
