4) Buccinator - Pulls corner of mouth laterally
5) Platysma - Pulling down of mandible
MECHANISM OF MUSCLE WEAKNESS
- Bell’s palsy is the inflammation and swelling of the seventh cranial nerve, which is the nerve that controls facial muscles.
OTHER SYMPTOMS
- One-sided weakness or paralysis
- Difficulty of speech
- Loss of muscle control on one side of the face
- Blurred vision
- Dizziness
- Seizures
- Sudden loss of one or more senses
