Dear students,

With regard to our N105 session on Perioperative Nursing tomorrow (Sept 6), we will proceed with a SYNCHRONOUS ZOOM session with the following details:

  • Meeting ID: 971 5096 9134
  • Passcode: 29929369

We will start letting people enter the Zoom room by 7:30AM and will start and check attendance by 8:00AM. This session is included in the THIRD long exam. We will release the exam primer for SECOND LONG EXAM tomorrow.

Just a few reminders on Zoom sessions:

  • Be prepared. These topics were included in our course guide so advanced reading on the topic is expected.
  • Be punctual.
  • Check your equipment BEFORE the session starts.
  • Dress appropriately.
  • Choose a quiet location if your space will allow it. Minimize distractions. If you have housemates, inform them that you will be participating in a synchronous session and would appreciate privacy during those time.
  • Mute your microphones when you are not speaking to minimize background noise.
  • Turn on your video when possible. Inform the faculty beforehand if you are unable to turn on your video.
  • STAY ENGAGED. Avoid multitasking and participate actively.
  • Give feedback constructively.
  • Use the chat function wisely. Avoid off-topic or personal conversations. We will also have a Q&A tab for your questions or clarifications.
  • Use the raise hand function if you want to speak, and wait to be recognized before unmuting.
  • Respect others. Be courteous. Avoid interrupting and wait for your turn to speak.
  • Enjoy the learning experience. Embrace the opportunity to learn online. Approach each session with curiosity and enthusiasm, and remember that a positive attitude can enhance your learning experience and that of your peers.

We will be standing by for any cancellations of face-to-face and/or online classes. Stay safe!

Best,

Eli for N105 Faculty Team
