Reflecting on the lesson

Choose one concept in our lesson today, give a brief explanation about the concept and cite how would you apply this learning in your everyday life.

Since we covered the Lymphatic System for this week, one of its key functions is to defend your body against disease-causing intruders — it got me thinking about how significant immunity is, not only in our bodies but also in our lives. I am genuinely mesmerized by how complex our body can be, as it has the power to protect itself from invaders unconsciously. When we talk about immunity, it refers to our body’s ability to fight itself against disease-causing pathogens or eradicate potentially dangerous foreign objects or abnormal cells. Its activities include:

  • Identifying and destroying defective or mutant cells.
  • Rejecting unknown or unfamiliar cells.
  • Serving as a defense against bacteria and viruses.

Relating this concept to our daily lives, having the immunity to fight against negative-radiating things must also be one of the characteristics we should acquire. It is critical to fight for what is right and maintain peace of mind in our daily lives. With this, we will be able to properly function and execute the best quality performance our well-being can achieve.
