Based from the lectures, specifically in the handouts that were given, we are known to have different types of stress which are namely eustress and distress. Eustress are those that are productive or positive stress while distress are those that are harmful or negative. Depending on what type of stress we might experience, there are three responses to stress which are the fight or flight response, resistance and exhaustion. When we are stressed we often feel tired and then for some they become motivated by the stress. After experiencing stress we often take time to rest and recuperate. Those reactions help produce ATP to fight the stress. There are also times wherein we get sick due to the stress that we experienced. This affects immunity and the secretion of the adrenocorticotropic hormone or ACTH.
