  1. Turning a doorknob
    • Muscles – supinator, pronator teres, and pronator quadrates muscles
    • Action – when turning the doorknob, the arm is undergoing supination and pronation
    • Innervation – the median nerve
  2. Throwing a baseball overhead
    • Muscles – pectoralis major, trapezius, serratus anterior, deltoid, triceps, biceps
    • Action – shoulder is going into horizontal forward flexion as the scapula contracts, the elbow is also extended
    • Innervation – medial pectoral nerve, lateral pectoral nerve, Cranial nerve XI, long thoracic nerve, Axillary nerve, musculocutaneous nerve C5, C6, C7, and radial nerve
  3. Kicking a ball
    • Muscles – Hamstrings, quadriceps, glutes, core muscles
    • Action – the leg is brought back, then the knee is being extended will the hip is flexed
    • Innervation – sciatic nerve, Femoral nerve, inferior gluteal nerve, and subcostal nerve
  4. Doing sit-ups
    • Muscles – Rectus abdominis, Transverse abdominis, Internal and external obliques
    • Action – contraction of muscles
    • Innervation – thoracoabdominal nerves, lower intercostal nerves, lower six thoracic spinal nerves
  5. Walking
    • Muscles – Hamstrings, calves, quadriceps
    • Action – extension and flexion of the legs
    • Innervation – sciatic nerve, tibial nerve, femoral nerve
  6. Breathing
    • Muscle – diaphragm, rib cage muscles, abdominal muscles
    • Action – chest expands and contracts, diaphragm contracts and relaxes
    • Innervation – phrenic nerve, anterior rami of spinal nerves T1-T11, terminal branches of the anterior rami of spinal nerves T6-T12
