    3. Action: draw the two eyebrows together medially and inferiorly; produce vertical wrinkles over the glabella and an expression of frowning

    1. Origin: nasal part of frontal bone, frontal process of maxilla, medial palpebral ligament, lacrimal bone

    2. Insertion: skin of orbital region, lateral palpebral raphe, superior and inferior tarsal plates

    3. Action: closes eyelids tightly (orbital); closes eyelids gently (palpebral); compresses lacrimal sac (deep palpebral)

    1. Origin: dermis of skin and subcutaneous tissue of eyebrows

    2. Insertion: epicranial aponeurosis

    3. Action: elevates eyebrows, wrinkles skin on forehead
