- The bone that is centrally located and joins with most of the other bones of the skull is the Sphenoid Bone.
- Bone ossification has two mechanisms: Intramembranous and endochondral. Intramembranous ossification is the process where it forms mesenchymal tissue to bone—usually flat bones. An example of this are most of the cranial bones. While, endochondral ossification is the process that forms cartilage for the bones. An example of this are the long bones like our ribs.
-The synovial joints like ball-and-socket joint, hinge joint, pivot joint, condyloid joint, saddle joint, and facet joint were shown and described in the video. The ball-and-socket joint is the type of synovial joint that allows the widest range of motion (movement in all direction).
