- Catabolism - It is the breakdown of complex chemical substances into simple components. An example would be large molecules of sugar breaking down to simpler forms such as glucose.
- Anabolism - The build up of small simple components to form complex substances (amino acids produced by proteins synthesis.)
- RESPONSIVENESS - The body's ability to react to detect and react to changes. An example would spitting food immediately when its eaten hot.
- MOVEMENT - It is the body's movement. It includes the whole body and even down to the tiny structures in cells. An example would be winking ;)
- GROWTH - It is where the body parts of an individual grows in size. An example would be legs getting longer as someone gets older.
- DIFFERENTATION - Development of a cell from a unspecialized to a specialized state. An example would be a stem cell turning into a nervous cell.
- REPRODUCTION - It refers to the formation of new cells to repair a certain body part or production of a new living being. An example would be the regeneration of skin.
