Activity 6: Planes and Sections
The significance of studying organs or the body at different planes and sections is that it allows us to probe three-dimensional relationships between structures. It provides sectional views of the body's internal structure, allowing us to examine a patient's anatomy thoroughly. This also aids us in visualizing the structure's positions and spatial locations, as well as navigating from one area to another. This can be used for information exchange within the medical community and reduces confusion and misunderstanding when pointing out structures and describing locations, which also saves time.
