What is the importance of studying organs or the body at different planes and sections?
Dividing the whole figure of the body into different sections will let us learn the different locations of different organs. By doing this, we can easily determine whether an organ lies in the anterior, posterior, left, or right part of the body. This will lead us to determine what region or quadrant of the body an organ lies in which will help us identify the origin of pain through palpating the different regions and quadrants of the body. In cases of organs, since organs also have different parts which may also cause malfunctions, dividing an organ into different planes will help in determining the causes.
