Metabolism is the chemical processes that occur within the body.
Example: Triglycerides into fatty acids through a chemical process called catabolism.

Responsiveness is the ability of the body to respond to stimulus.
Example: Immediately moving away your hand after accidentally touching a hot surface.

Movement is the motion of the body, including organs and cells.
Example: The food move through the digestive tract through a wave-like muscle contractions called peristalsis.

Growth is an increase in body size or cells.
Example: Growing an inch taller

Differentiation is the maturation of a cell, from unspecialized to a specialized one.
Example: Zygote to embryo to a fetus

Reproduction is the formation of new cells for growth, repair, and replacement of tissues or to produce a new individual.
Example: Nails are continuously growing as keratin are being multiplied at the base of our nails.
