Definitely the biggest factor affecting maternal mortality rate in the Philippines is the lack of educational access to sexual and reproductive health. We live in a country where talking about these things are still being frowned upon and this leads to many misconceptions that may often pose a threat to maternal and child health.

The top 3 causes of maternal mortality ratio are complication r/t pregnancy, hypertension, and hemorrhage. The top 3 maternal morbidity causes are hemorrhage, infection, and unsafe abortion.
