MODULE 6
Introduction
Sound clinical decision-making is informed by a comprehensive assessment, understanding of the patient needs, and extensive knowledge of evidence-based strategies. The APN’s ability to decide on the best care for the patient requires competencies in the collaborative and active management of common acute and chronic diseases. These also cover the prevailing concerns for patient safety and emerging infections, as well as the use of adaptive strategies to ensure continuity of care, like telehealth.
