Unit 2: THEORIES FROM OTHER DISCIPLINES

Nursing acknowledges that nursing knowledge and theory development has for its basis theories from other disciplines (health and non-health related). Theories developed outside nursing and continuously used in nursing indicate the value of "shared" or "borrowed" theories which provide wider understanding of the individual being cared for.
