NURSING ASSESSMENT APPLICATION: Actual Client Case

• INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Choose an adult client (healthy individual, or may be an individual with a mild medical diagnosis but controlled symptoms) within your household or community.
     1. For those staying in the dorms:  choose any individual as your client, except your classmate/batchmate in UPCN
     2. Make sure that each of you have different individual clients (no sharing of clients)
  2. Obtain consent for the following activities:
     1. Complete Nursing Health History
     2. Physical Examination
  3. Perform the NHH and PE on your identified client using the prescribed forms (refer to the VLE case study forms for NHH and PE)
  4. Do a 15 min Process Recording of a conversation with your client:
     1. This can be a segment of a specific NHH Functional Health Pattern
     2. Use the template provided for this activity's output
     3. Ensure that you obtain your client's permission to record the conversation (for post analysis processing)
  5. Submit all forms in the submission bin.  Deadline is April 16, 2024 at 4PM
  6. Please note that this is an individual work that requires Individual Submissions.
