Description:

The goal of this course is to improve the critical thinking and public speaking of students in physiology.  The course will provide students the opportunity to present data and critique the scientific literature. Students present a critical review of a suggested topic after consultation with the faculty assigned to a particular topic. Students will be given a numeric grade.

Specifically, the course objectives are:

1. To familiarize students with applications of physiology to real life situations

2. To synthesize recent data on a physiology topic

3. To present one's review of the medical literature in an organized, concise, interesting and scholarly manner.
