Application of physiology concepts to movement and exercise

COURSE GOAL:

At the end of the course, the student should be able to integrate concepts related to muscle and exercise physiology, neurophysiology of pain, and motor control and motor learning to physical therapy practice.

COURSE OVERVIEW:

This course examines structure and function of the nervous system, muscle and other organ systems related to movement and exercise. This course will build on the student’s basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology. The students will develop skills in scientific inquiry, collaborative work and expression through writing.
