Course Title:                        Human Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathophysiology II

Course Description:            Basic concepts of the structure and function of the different systems of the human body with a discussion on disease states.

Course Credit:                     2 units Lecture and 1 unit Laboratory

Pre-requisite/s:                   Pharmaceutical Biochemistry (Ph Ch127); Human Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathophysiology I

Co-requisite:                        None

 

Course Objectives:

At the end of the course, the student must be able to:

1.       Identify the structures that comprise the different systems of the human body

2.       Explain the function and relationship of each structure

3.       Explain the cellular and chemical basis of the different processes that take place in each organ that are necessary for its normal function

4.       Correlate the pathophysiology of the diseases that affect the different systems of the human body

Pre-Final Grade                                                              80%

                Recitation/Project                               10%

Final Exam                                                                             20%

Lecture Grade                                                                      100%

 

Final Grade = 30% Laboratory Grade + 70 % Lecture Grade
