This module is offered to Learning Unit 4 medical students.  It covers the human pathophysiology, diagnosis and principles of treatment of diseases of the kidney and urinary tract.  It will run from December 1 to 18, 2020.   The module is handled by faculty from the Departments of Medicine, Pediatrics, Surgery, Pathology, Pharmacology and Radiology.  It is only 1 module under the OS214 Course.  The other module is the Gastrointestinal system module.

This module is designed to enhance the students’ understanding of the pathophysiology and treatment of renal and urinary tract disease.  This will be approached using a variety of learning activities including synchronous and asynchronous lectures, Q and A interactive sessions to supplement asynchronous lectures,  videos and synchronous small group discussions, and self-assessment quizzes.   Cognitive skills pertaining to logical diagnosis and interpretation of presenting signs, symptoms and laboratory examinations will be honed.
