Ecology of human diseases and epidemiologic methods

Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, the student should be able to:

  1. Discuss the evolution and relevance of epidemiology in public health
  2. Apply appropriate techniques and tools in (a) measuring the distribution of health and disease, and (b) identifying factors that contribute to the occurrence of health and disease
  3. Apply epidemiologic principles in the identification of disease prevention and control strategies that are appropriate for a given health problem
